28th August 05 2005 GOLDEN TEDDY AWARD WINNERS
Our latest exciting news is 4 of our special bears (WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE, LILI MARLENE, HORATIO NELSON, OAK ) have just been awarded the prestigous American award as voted by the US public.
Robin was excited to make the journey to Washington DC to exhbit at the Washington Doll and Teddy Expo along with about 250 fantastic bear artists. There she was thrilled to accept the awards. The winners walked up onto the stage to receive their magnificent diamond-shaped crystal awards and it was commented that Robin Rive "should have moved her table on stage to save her the journey of collecting four consecutive awards, the weight of which exceeded her travel allowance back to New Zealand ! - "well worth the eight thousand mile journey' she commented.

Robin was excited to make the journey to Washington DC to exhibit at the Washington Doll and Teddy Expo at the end of August and accept her 4 awards.
During this time, Mei, the giant panda, gave birth at the Washington Zoo. Bryan and Robin watched him snuggle into his mother, which inspired her to create a whole new panda family. Mei (42cm black and white mohair panda) , Pandy Cub (27cm black and white mohair baby panda) to celebrate his arrival and also Pandy Blue (42cm corn flower blue and black mohair panda).

2005 is Year of the Rooster on the Chinese calendar so Robin has created Brigitte & Cocky Locky and various other chickeny characters to keep your bears company.

At long last Robin Rive bear lovers can enjoy the advantages of belonging to our exclusive Robin Rive Collectors Club . Our 30th Anniversary seemed to be the perfect time to launch it. Due to our unique and exotic location on the “other side of the world” we will be administering the Robin Rive Collectors Club directly from New Zealand.
We now have our Club information on the Website so you can fill in the form and email it directly.
After some initial teething problems we are now back on track and pleased to welcome many more collectors into our Club.
